Growing up my mom made the best spaghetti sauce!  I went on a trip on Mothers Day to visit her.  Together we made  my childhood recipe.  So yummy!  Thanks Mom 🙂

 In two tbsp. of olive oil,  brown one lb. of lean hamburger and  two Italian sausage links. (take of casing)

To brown meat, add half of a diced green bell pepper, half of a diced onion,  two cloves of chopped garlic, four oz. of chopped fresh mushrooms, and one celery stalked diced.  Saute a few minutes.

Then add half teas. of dried oregano, one fourth tsp. thyme, and one tsp of parsley and basil.  Stir

Then add one small can tomato paste and fill six oz. can full of water and red wine.

Add fourteen oz. can crushed tomatoes, small can black olives (drained), half cup sliced green olives, one bay leaf, half teas. of salt and one-fourth tsp. black pepper.

Simmer for one to three hours.

Put over your favorite pasta! Enjoy 🙂
