Ingredients:

2 cups long grain white rice

3 1/2 cups boiling water

3 chicken bullion cubes

3 tbsp. olive oil

1 tbsp. dried parsley

1 tsp. garlic and onion powder

2 tbsp. butter

3 carrots peeled and diced

3 celery stalks, diced

1/2 diced onion

dash salt and pepper

Recipe:
Saute vegetables for a few minutes, in 1 tbsp. olive oil and a dash of salt and pepper. Then set aside.
DSC08781Then, brown rice for a few minutes on med. heat, in 2 tbsp. olive oil.

On the stove in a medium sauce pan, boil water, then add butter, bullion cubes and seasonings. Stir until bullion is dissolved.

In an oven proof dish add saute vegetables and browned  rice.

Pour hot liquid over rice.  Stir.

Cover tightly with aluminum foil or a casserole lid.

Bake the rice at 350º F for 35 minutes.

Set on counter for 10 to 15 minutes.

Before serving fluff with a fork. Eat and enjoy 🙂
